NTT Docomo's third-generation mobile communications (3G) service "FOMA" will end on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
As a result, 3G voice calls and data communications will no longer be available for JP SMART SIM and other communication services that use the Docomo network from Wednesday, April 1, 2026.

Depending on your current device, you may need to switch to a 4G (LTE)/5G-compatible device or change your device settings.
Please check the details below.

■ Affected Services/Plans
JP SMART SIM (CALL/DATA plans, prepaid SIMs using the Docomo network)
*This applies to all SIMs that use the Docomo network (data, SMS, voice, eSIM).

■ Contract Notes
・After Wednesday, April 1, 2026, 3G communications will no longer be available, but 4G (LTE) and 5G communications will continue to be available. However, even for 4G-compatible models that do not support VoLTE, some features will be unavailable, such as voice calls
・After the service termination date, depending on the device, various communication services such as 3G communications and voice calls will no longer be available, but your contract will continue and monthly fees will continue to accrue. Please note that this will not be automatically canceled.

■ Device Change/Setting Notes
・If you are using a device that does not support 4G
Voice calls and data communications will no longer be available after the service termination date.
Please upgrade to a device that supports VoLTE as soon as possible.

・If you are using a device that supports 4G/VoLTE
If the VoLTE setting is OFF, voice calls will no longer be available after the service termination date.
Please read the "Device Settings Notes" below and change your settings accordingly.
